Smoked Cheeze Crackers!

Welcome to a recipe that has quickly become a staple in my house and has been loved by everyone who has tried it! Here I'm going to show you how to take cheeze crackers and take them to a whole new level by introducing a smoker and one of my favorite all-purpose rubs. This simple process adds a depth of flavor that's both surprising and delicious. Whether you're hosting a game night, a BBQ, or just craving a unique snack, smoked cheeze crackers are sure to impress.

What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • 1 Family sized box of cheeze crackers
  • 4 TBS melted butter
  • 4 TBS Humphrey's BBQ Crack

Equipment:

  • Smoker (or a grill with a smoker box)
  • Wood chunks (apple, cherry, or hickory work well)
  • Aluminum pan

Guide to Smoking Cheeze Crackers

1. Prepare Your Smoker:

  • Preheat your smoker to 250°F (107°C). This temperature ensures that the cheeze crackers will get a nice smoky flavor without burning.
  • Choose your wood chunks. Apple and cherry wood chunks impart a slightly sweet, mild flavor, while hickory adds a stronger, more robust smokiness.

2. Season Your Cheeze Crackers:

  • Place the cheeze crackers in your aluminum pan.
  • Drizzle with melted butter. This helps the Humphrey's BBQ Crack stick and enhances the smoking process.
  • Sprinkle your BBQ Crack over the cheeze crackers and toss them gently to ensure an even coating.

3. Smoke the Cheeze Crackers:

  • Place the tray in the smoker and close.
  • Smoke for about 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to ensure even exposure to the smoke. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don't burn. Depending on the size of the pan and if you double the recipe (You will want to...) smoking time could vary.

4. Cool and Enjoy:

  • Once the cheeze crackers have taken on a golden brown hue and a delightful smoky aroma, remove them from the smoker.
  • Let them cool a bit then enjoy! I love snacking while they are still warm!
