Smoked Deviled Eggs... Do I need to say more?
If your family is anything like mine these are a staple for any gathering, But, what if we stepped them up a notch? I promise these will be the talk of the next big family party or small gathering for football Sunday!
Ingredients
Large Eggs (I normally do a dozen, but cook accordingly depending on gathering/ want size)
6 TBS - Dukes Mayonnaise (Yes, I suppose you can use other mayo, but this stuff is the best.)
6 tsp - Chives (Diced)
2 tsp - Brown mustard
2 tsp - Apple cider vinegar
Salt & Pepper - Add to taste
Smoked paprika - Sprinkle on top
Crumbled bacon or Candied jalapenos (Or both, I don't judge) - Add to taste
Directions
1) Boil your eggs
2) Get your smoker to 180 degrees
3) Peel your eggs once fully cooked, put them into a pan or directly onto a smoker rack, and smoke for 30 minutes.
4) Allow eggs to cool then slice eggs lengthwise and remove the yolks
5) Add yolks into a bowl then add mayo, chives, brown mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper
6) Stir the mixture until all ingredients are evenly incorporated
7) Add mixture to a piping bag and squeeze into the hard-boiled egg whites
8) Garnish with smoked paprika and add crumbled bacon or candied jalapenos if wanted. I made my own candied jalapenos or 'Cowboy Candy' this year and felt like it would be a fun addition and introduce some different flavors!
9) Chill and then serve!
